Torre Angelica: A Medieval Tower Reborn<\/b><\/h2>\n

There\u2019s something magical about sleeping in a place where history has seeped into the very walls. At Fattoria San Donato, we are proud to present our newest apartment \u2014 <\/span>Torre Angelica<\/b>, a luxurious retreat inside our <\/span>12th-century tower<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A New Year\u2019s Resolution Turned Reality<\/b><\/h4>\n

The idea for Torre Angelica began back in <\/span>January 2024<\/b>, as a New Year\u2019s resolution to bring new life to the medieval tower that has been part of our family since 1932.<\/span><\/p>\n

For decades, the tower had been used mainly for storage, but we always felt it deserved something more. After all, if you have a tower from the 1100s you cannot relagate it at dust collector!<\/span><\/p>\n

At first, we debated transforming it into a two-bedroom flat. But soon we realised that the real opportunity lay in creating something more <\/span>refined, spacious, and unique<\/b> \u2014 a place where history and comfort could meet in perfect balance. A place where we could play with elegant details, precious material and most of all with an already beautiful space.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over a year of careful restoration later, we are thrilled to open its doors and share this extraordinary space with our guests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why \u201cTorre Angelica\u201d?<\/b><\/h4>\n

The apartment is named after <\/span>Angelica<\/b>, eldest daughter of Umberto and Federica. And while we insist there\u2019s no family favouritism, Angelica (who also happens to be writing these words) can\u2019t help but feel rather proud of having her name on San Donato\u2019s most special apartment. 🥂 Sorry not sorry, Benny and Fiamma!<\/span><\/p>\n

The truth is, the name began almost as a joke \u2014 but then it stuck. Over time, we realised it had a nice ring to it, and so <\/span>Torre Angelica<\/b> was born.<\/span><\/p>\n

History Meets Comfort<\/b><\/h4>\n

Restoring the tower was about more than just renovation \u2014 it was about <\/span>honouring its centuries-old soul while creating a space of beauty and ease<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our intention was to let the materials speak for themselves, surrounding our guests with authentic, high-quality elements. Inside, you\u2019ll find a seamless blend of the old and the new:<\/span><\/p>\n
